Installing Elements on Your Site

Install CharityStack elements by adding the main embed script and then placing element code where each widget should appear.

Before You Start

• You need access to edit your website.
• You need the CharityStack embed script from Settings.
• You need the element code for the specific form or widget.
• You need your website URL saved in Settings > Organization if you plan to use overlay links.

Steps

1. In CharityStack, go to Settings.
2. Open Embed.
3. Copy the main embed script.
4. Add the script to your website's custom code area.
5. Go to Elements or Forms.
6. Copy the element code for the widget you want to show.
7. Paste the element code where the widget should appear on the page.
8. Publish your website and test the page.

Notes

Website builders handle custom code differently. If an element does not appear, confirm that your website plan supports custom code and that both the main embed script and element code were published.

If an embedded form still does not appear, confirm the copied element code matches an active form or element. The main embed script should usually be installed once on the page or site template, while each form or widget has its own element code.

Some share methods do not require embedding. QR codes and URLs can be copied or downloaded from CharityStack and used in printed material, emails, or social posts.

After publishing, test the page in a private browser window or on a device that is not logged in to your website editor. This helps confirm contacts will see the same experience.
