# Payout Statuses

Payout statuses explain where a bank transfer is in its lifecycle.

## When To Use This

Use payout statuses when reconciling expected deposits or investigating a transfer.

## Common Statuses

- **Paid**: the transfer has completed. If the payout amount is negative, the dashboard may show it as Withdrawn.
- **Pending**: the payout is being prepared or is in transit.
- **Failed**: the payout did not complete, was canceled, or needs follow-up.

## Admin Notes

Open the payout detail view when a status does not match what finance expected. The payout detail can show the related payment activity and export options needed for reconciliation.

If a payout failed or finance cannot match a payout to bank activity, collect the payout ID and contact CharityStack support with the payout amount, status, and expected bank deposit date.
